We are excited to announce the next Student Look Contest! This is an opportunity for Cosmetology and Barber Students to get creative and showcase their knowledge of men’s haircutting! This year, students and their Instructor need to follow the Student Look Facebook Page. There you will find all forms needed for the contest, as well as inspiration and fun tidbits! Forms include guidelines for the contest, applications, etc. Instructors will post the final pictures for their student(s) on this Facebook page by the deadline, February 14th, 2020. You have plenty of time to get creative!
Winners (up to 6) and their Instructor will receive a trip to our National Huddle in San Antonio, TX, April 25-28, 2020. This includes airfare, hotel, a gift card for incidentals and an amazing goodie bag worth over $250 from our suppliers.
We look forward to seeing you at Huddle2020!
The Look Competition
Each year, Sport Clips holds a national haircutting competition, The Look, where top stylists from across the country are featured on stage at our National Huddle for a head-to-head battle for the title of ‘The Look Champion’.
The Look 2019 Winner
Imani Tezeno ─ Pearland, TX
Imani created a curly textured style blended into a mohawk using a two down to a zero out sides and a minimum trip to leave curl. She chose for the Style Sexy Hair Blow It Up and MVRCK by Mitch Grooming Cream to finish the look. Imani says a haircut can make or break a look and she likes turning clients’ days around with a good haircut.

2019 Sport Clips Scholarship
Next Series of Scholarship Applications Due: Friday, September 27th, 2019
To help cosmetology students reach their career goals, Sport Clips Haircuts, the nation’s leading men’s and boys’ hair care provider, awards up to 20 scholarships each year. To be considered for a scholarship, candidates must meet both academic and essay requirements established by Sport Clips. Each recipient is presented a $1,000 scholarship to help with educational expenses.
This is the eighth year the Georgetown, Texas-based company, which has more than 1,800 stores across the country and in Canada, has awarded scholarships to eligible students. To date, more than $70,000 in scholarship money has been awarded to promote quality cosmetology education.
“Our support of cosmetology students spans across the nation,” says Julie Vargas, Sport Clips Haircuts senior director of career opportunities. “We want these stylists to be equipped with the proper training and skills they need to be successful in the hair care industry upon graduation. We value their interest in quality education, and we’re honored to assist them with their career goals.”
