The Look 2016 Winner
Sarah Cattrell – Fort Mill, SC
The Look winner Sarah Cottrell created a 30s and 40s classic style with hard part. She was “going for the newer looks many men’s professional soccer players are sporting.” Sarah knew when she was young, playing with Barbie® dolls, that she loved doing hair.
To help cosmetology students reach their career goals, Sport Clips Haircuts, the nation’s leading men’s and boys’ hair care provider, awards up to 20 Access to Cosmetology Education (ACE) Scholarships each year. To be considered for an ACE scholarship candidates must meet both academic and essay requirements established by Sport Clips. Each recipient is presented a $1,000 scholarship to help with educational expenses.
This is the seventh year the Georgetown, Texas-based company, which has more than 1,600 stores across the country and in Canada, has awarded scholarships to eligible students enrolled at an American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) member school. To date, more than $50,000 in scholarship money has been awarded to promote quality cosmetology education.
“Our support of cosmetology students spans across the nation,” says Julie Vargas, Sport Clips Haircuts senior director of career opportunities. “We want these stylists to be equipped with the proper training and skills they need to be successful in the hair care industry upon graduation. We value their interest in quality education, and we’re honored to assist them with their career goals.”
